we just had a pretty awesome dinner tonight. we flew down to burbank this afternoon, checked into our hotel (or ho-tay-yole, as griffin calls it), and then headed over to roscoe's house of chicken and waffles for dinner. we'd never been, but i had read about it online and most recently had our food friend, peisun, give it a ringing endorsement. man oh man, was that a fantastic meal of fried chicken, waffles, fried giblets, biscuits & gravy, grits, and sweet tea! it was amazing. the chicken was juicy and flavorful, the skin was crispy and tasty, and the waffles were just delish! the kids loved it too. i mean, how cool a meal is it for kids -- chicken and waffles for dinner!ok, enough raving about the dinner. after dinner, we went to universal citywalk, where they were playing mamma mia on a big screen. ally was thrilled, and so we sat under the stars (and neon) and watched half of the movie. then we met this really nice balloon guy who made these cool bumblebees and flowers.
